The easiest extension type.

Tape extensions are reusable pre-taped extensions made of the high quality 100% human hair. The ultra-flat application ensures perfect hair distribution and comfortable wearing. The 2,8 cm wide tapes are easy to apply and provide an instant result. Perfect for volume and length extension. Tapes are reusable up to 3 applications and can last for 4 to 6 weeks when applied. Haircode tape extensions are undetectable to the touch. One pack of tape extensions contains 20 tape extensions (10 applications) that allow for a basic volume treatment. For a full volume treatment 40-50 pcs are recommended.

Tape-application:
1. Take two tapes from the package.
2. Remove the protective strips from the tapes.
3. Make a hair parting, place one tape onto the natural hair. Press firmly onto the
tape to make sure enough hair sticks to the tape.
4. Lift the tape extension and place another tape. Press firmly.
5. Do not wash the hair for 24 hours to ensure a prefect grip.

To re-use the tape extensions, reapplication tapes (20 pcs.) are needed. To remove the old tape extensions from the natural hair dissolvent or non-chemical tape remover can be used. When using the tape remover it is important to wash the extensions thoroughly before reapplication in order to make sure all essential oils are removed.

1. Keep your hair clean.

Dirt and sweat can make your hair extensions tangle. To prevent this from happening, you should wash them with sulphate or paraben-free shampoo. Before shampooing, detangle your hair from the ends to the roots, and then wash your hair from the roots to the ends.

2. Ensure you hair is dried after washing or swimming.

A wet or damp hair can damage the tape adhesive or bonds of your hair extensions. As a result, it can be removed from your real hair.

3. Use soft bristle brushes.

Soft bristle brushes remove tangles while preventing damage to the tape adhesive. Start at the ends and work your way up. All brushing should be done in a downward gentle motion to prevent putting too much tension on your hair extensions.

4. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, chlorine, and saltwater.

They are the biggest enemies of human hair extensions. Sun exposure, chlorine, and saltwater can leave your hair dehydrated. This in turn leads to dryness and tangles.

When swimming in a pool or beach, it is recommended to wear swim caps or keep your hair in a ponytail or plait. If your extensions do get wet, use shampoo and conditioner on your hair as soon as possible.

5. Apply conditioner to your hair extensions regularly.

Using a conditioner does not only make your hair extensions shine but it also repairs your hair’s protective layer – the cuticle layer. When applying conditioner, make sure to focus on your mid-lengths to ends to avoid your roots becoming too greasy.

6. Avoid washing your hair extensions daily.

Washing your hair extensions daily can dry them out. To keep your hair extensions hydrated, wash them no more than three times a week however this will depend on the thickness and how much products you apply to your hair extensions.

7. Dry your hair completely before going to bed.

When you sleep with wet human hair extensions, tangles can form. Some hair strands can also pull your natural hair, resulting in damage. You can blow-dry your hair extensions since they are 100% human hair. They are heatproof and the bonds will not melt when you blow-dry them. We also recommend wearing your hair in a low ponytail or plait before going to bed to prevent tangling.

8. Use oil regularly.

Oil for your hair extensions is an important part of keeping them hydrated and preventing all the negative consequences of dry extensions. How much oil you use depends on the amount of hair and hair extensions you have, but start with less and you can always increase the amount you use. When you apply oil to your hair extensions apply from the mid-shaft to the ends of your hair.

9. Rinse your extensions under a cold running water.

Running water helps remove dirt from your extensions. The cold temperature allows moisture to stay in the hair extensions and prevents them from drying out. After rinsing, squeeze them with your hands and place clip ins on a clean towel to dry, for permanent methods gently pat dry with a towel before blowdrying.

10. Use sulfate free hair products.

Why is sulfate free important for your hair extensions? Hair extensions are more prone to dry out than your own hair because they aren’t being replenished with oil or nutrients like your natural hair is. This means anything that is likely to cause your extensions to dry out should be avoided. Sulfates can dry out your extensions, making them more prone to damage like breakage or shedding. So it’s important to choose only sulfate free hair care products.

11. Other styling products.

Hair masks are another great product you can use to help keep your hair and extensions, fully hydrated. I recommend using a hair mask once or twice a month in place of your conditioner to get the maximum benefit.

If you are heat styling your hair, be sure to use a heat and UV protectant before any heat styling. High heat can burn and discolor blonde extensions and this damage is unfortunately irreversible.

You can also use salon professional styling products like hair spray, texture spray, or dry shampoo with your hair extensions. If you are using heavier styling products, be sure to double shampoo to ensure you remove all products from your hair.
